Hello,

My car is currently debadged and as of now the rear of the car looks real clean and sharp. As of late, I've been noticing some late W124's with the E320 emblem on, and I've been starting to like the look of that badge. What do you guys think?? Should I get the E320 badge and put it on, or would it look dorky trying to immitate an E320. Im not trying to look cool or anything with the badge, I just think it would look nice back there with the monotone paint, rear deck panel and 94/95 tails....Love to hear your opinions...

Well.....
Since you asked for Opionions, here's mine:

De-Badging for the sake of clean lines and even a little 'Mystery' is fine if that's your Style, but Re-Badging is a mis-representation of the car and I do consider it ,as you say, "DORKY" .
I'm sure we have all seen many "Dorky" 107's out there ,
but there again, Who Cares.

An alternative

If you just like that badge, it is all separate parts. Here's what to do. Order a badge from an E300 Diesel and just get rid of the Diesel and rearrange the letters to "300E". That way no faking, and you get the look you want...

why not E300? hehe newer naming convention, but not lying about displacement.

I have toyed with the thought of doing CE300, then after wheels, suspension, and other good upgrades to my car, I was even thinking CE30 AMG was kinda neat.

Hehe

Right now debadged and happy, but I got an AMG Badge just dting to be stuck on somewhere.

Lol reminds of me when I had my 300E....After I had it monotoned and got the AMG monoblocks, i decided to put an AMG badge on the back and rebadge it E30. Til I saw an old infiniti E30...(that and after several people trying to race me...I had to feign indifference ) So, I ended up just debadging the thing. If i were you I'd get the separate letters from the E300 D to achieve the newer look. Have fun!

Dorky! Debadged is a good clean look. BUT--what if you kept "diesel" on an E300 badge or maybe just add it back when you feel frisky? You would not seem cool then, but what stealth! Hehe

E55 AMG -> E300 Diesel

You know, I thought about misrepresenting the E55 as a Diesel just for fun, "Damn, those Diesel Mercedes are fast!"

Problem is, not being good with detailing cars myself and without access to the Diesel badge, it's just too silly not worth my hassle..

Further for those losers breaking into a car for small change, a Benz is a Benz and I'm not any more low profile with a different badge, so the entire exercise becomes a complete waste of time..

FlipSyde,
Infinity never made a E30.
They did make a J30.
It was replaced by the I30.

I doubt anybody cares what I just posted. Infinity=DOG****

My fault shyne you are right...I think I dumped it because E30 is a BMW model number for the older three series...it was somethin like that.

Yeah E30 was a BMW Chassis Number, like the equivalent to w124 or w201 or w126 chassis number. the E30 was a 3 series bmw chassis. if I am correct hehe.

E300 badge it is....

I stopped in before school today at the dealer and asked for a E300 badge off a w210. They said $27 and change--what a gyp. I will be ordering it through mail catalog since its nearly half that, along with some other maintainence items. Once I get it, I'll update you guys on the look or if i decided to keep it on indefinetly.
