560SL-107 Fog Lamp Guard

HI,

I was in San Francisco the 2nd week in January 2005 and was in the Marina District when I saw these on the fog lamps of a 560SL.. I would like to know if anyone has ever seen these anywhere, and are they available from some supplier? I should have left a note on the car.

I had the fog light grills on both my 380 and my 560. I got both of my grills from Precision Auto Designs of CA. This company was purchased by Performance Products a few years back. They do not show them on thier website but . . . I suggest that you call and inquire. If no go, try ADSIT as they also carried them although ten years back. I do have a set without the star some where in my garage. If you have no luck, let me know and I will see if I can find them.

It's a bit of shutting the barn door after the horse has bolted, however....This seller recently sold six sets of these fog lamp guards with the star on E-Bay. He may have some others as he listed six in a dutch auction, all boxed and brand new. Worth a try if all else fails. Item number: 4519117731. They were made by Precision Auto Designs of California, 191 Kennedy Ave, Campbell, CA. 408/378-2332. So they are the ones your chasing. Please accept my apologies for the late notice.

Just in case someone is still chasing these. Have a look at item No.7973772675 on E-Bay, a fellow is parting out a whole car and there are a set in the photo. He may part them.
