Need to reaattach AMG duck lip spoiler on 1988 300ce

The PO had screwed the spoiler in on one side of the trunk lid, while the gasket still held the other side. Now, the spoiler has come off, fortunately in my driveway and not on the road. Are replacement gaskets available from MB, which now owns AMG? Is there an adhesive that is strong enough to keep the spoiler attached at highway speeds? Would a body shop know how to do this? All advice is appreciated. Thanks.

There is a 3M double sided adhesive for spoilers. It was used on the 1994-1996 Chevrolet Impalas. The adhesive is VERY strong, and will hold up at highway speeds. Check NAPA, or even the local Chevrolet dealer for it. Yes, you'll be going to a Chevy dealer in your Mercedes.

On the polyurethane lip spoiler for my AMG W201, there was black double sided adhesive tape used to attach it to the trunk lid. For the corner pieces of the ducktail, I believe that the original kit came with a tube of mastic adhesive.
