How to fix peeling clearcoat

The clearcoat on my 1985 190e is starting to peel off on the roof and the hood. Overall the paint is 8.5/10, still in fairly good condition. I would like to stop the clearcoat problem before it gets any worse.

Color is Diamond Blue Metallic.

BTW, I'm looking for a drivers side fender and newer headlights if anyone has them forsale.

THanks!

Try running a search using the terms clear coat peeling

My guess is that nothing short of a prep and repainting of the panels is going to be satisfactory.

Yup. There's not much you can do to "fix" it. I guess you can slow down the peeling by protecting what's left, but a respray is the solution.
