Lightbulb New Detailing Moderator!

I am pleased to announce that we have a new Moderator in the Detailing forum.

Jon Wilson is our new "Detailer On Staff".

Jon's background in detailing goes back to the late 1970's when he used to wash his mom's '74 BMW 2002. He spent 4 years in the US Army as a mechanic and then worked in his brother's business, Intercity Lines. They are a car transportation company that has fully enclosed trailers and specializes in transporting very high-end cars.

Jon works part time for Autopia Car Care and still details on the side. Autopia sells detailing products on line and now through MercedesShop. Check out the new Detailing DIY section to see.

Jon's interests include detailing, high powered pellet gun shooting, metal detecting, bike riding, and home theater. His main interests are his wife of 20 years and their 3 children...16, 13 and 13 (yes twins, one boy one girl).

Please join me in welcoming Jon to the Shop Forum!
His name here is "jonw440".

1968 Roadrunner

Jon just shared this picture with me.
It's a '68 Roadrunner that he and his 13 year old son rebuilt from a rolling chassis:

Looks really nice.

Good to have you here.

In High School, when the car was hardly used (72 thru 74) a close friend and I rebuilt his 67 I think. 383 tricked out, we even put an overdrive unit in it, Where Brad found this thing I don't know. But he could gear it between a low 4 or an upper 2.
We had it torn down, if it came out it did, took us a couple of years.

I had a 69 440 Super Bee, mechanically perfect, body made it a sleeper.

3rd member of our group had a Hemi Cuda, he even had the dual plug setup (He was working for a dealer in / just after high school).

How I wish I had any one of them today.
