Wax over wax or remove each time?

Are you supoosed to remove the old wax with some sort of cleanser before applying a new coat? If so, what do you use to remove the old wax? Also when I wax, I sometimes get a little bit on the door handles and bumper rubber, window seals, etc.. How do I remove the wax from these places? It doesnt seem to want to come off very easily. Thanks.

It depends on the condition of the wax, paint surface and how clean the paint is.
If there are no defects(scratches, stains, stuck bugs or tar, etc) then yes you can just apply more wax.If there are defects in the pint then you should use a polish to remove them before applying more wax.If there are scratches then poorboys will polish those out. .
if there is minor scratches or stains on the paint then p21s or sonus paintwork cleanser will work great at removing those.

All posted above is true. However, the only problem in applying new wax over old may be surface environmental contaminants on the surface of your old wax. These usually occur on horizontal surfaces, such as the hood. To see if you have these, run your hand over these surfaces. If they feel a bit "gritty", you have these contaminants. Use claybar to remove them, with plenty of claybar lubricant, When you are done with this, rinse and rub the lube off, dry, and proceed with waxing.

Claybar wil also remove the top layers of the old wax. This is good to know, as those who have been using "nano technology" waxes may find that microscratches they THINK are in the clear coat are only in the wax. That is because such waxes, while very glossy, are also hard and brittle and the wax surface scratches easily. If this is the case, the claybar can help you rid yourself of these too.
