how do i get this stuff out?
 

hey all,

I just recently acquired a rear deck from a 91 560. It was dirty so i decided to clean it, there was some Dawn dishsoap in some spots. I scrubbed those spots with a brush and they were nice and clean but I cant seem to get the dishsoap out of carpeting material now! I have scrubbed and scrubbed and hosed it down in the sink a few times to no avail! Any suggestions?

Keep rinsing and use a squeegee to pull the soapy water out.
It will rinse clean...... it will take a while.

How about a carpet shampooer (???), the wife has one for the carpets with a furniture attachment.

Maybe even just a wet/dry vac to pull it out ??

Make sure you get it good a dry. You don't want mold spores taking up residence in there - they can infect your whole car.
