Steering Wheel Cover
 

Can somebody recommend a good steering wheel cover for a 1995 C220? The material doesn't matter. My wheel is all cracked from sun exposure so I need a cover.

Get a wheelskin. http://www.wheelskin.com Here's my newly installed wheelskin on my 300D, it's real leather. I did a piss poor job of installing it, but it works! :D

Try heel restorer
 

Don't cover it, because you can fix it. Just paint the wheel with heel restorer from your local pharmacy. Hey, if you don't like the fix, then you can still cover it.

When you added the Wheelskin, did you have to cut it to fit around the braces in the middle of the wheel?

I put a cheap cover from Advance Auto parts on, but it would not fit because the supports in the middle of the wheel protrude out the back of the steering wheel.

Is this the same for the Wheelskin?

The wheelskin comes with a needle and thread. You place the wheelskin over the steering wheel, then you start with the needle and thread and stitch it up. When you come to the steering wheel spoke, you make "dummy" stitches that allow it to fit over the spokes.

Best way and the cheapest and the longest lasting way is to go to Wal-mart and pick up a bottle of black liquid shoe polish and give the WHOLE steering wheel a few coats but make sure to let each coat dry before putting on the next. Your Steering wheel will become new and will never fade. You can do this to the black rubber on the bumpers as well!

I like the wheelskins as well, the leather feels and looks a lot nicer than the squishy rubber stuff too.
