Severe Body Damage
I have a 1993 W124 300E
Long story short: I was being an idiot and I hit a pole while screwing around in reverse. Now, my taillight, bumper, rear fender and possibly gas tank cover are all damaged/crushed. My trunk won't close either but I think thats because of the bumper and nothing is wrong with the trunk. I have a couple of questions now. 1. How much would it cost to replace these parts? 2. Is this a DIY kind of project or do I need the workings of a body shop? 3. Has anyone here ever done this kind of work on their 124? I don't have a picture yet but you can email me at fawwaz.qayyum@gmail.com and I'll take one and send it to you. |

best thing is to get some free estimates from a couple of body shops. then find out how much the parts would cost on their own.
if it's a big difference you can try doing it yourself, otherwise leave it to the body shop to get it done. good luck.
