rust repair on 300te 1990

ive got some ugly spots rear hatch,trim line on drivers door,lower front edge of front fenders.rest of the car looks great so i would like to attempt spot repair.so far ive carefully sandblasted away the bad stuff to clean metal.ive got some small holes to fill and then repaint.are there any tips out there on type of filler,paint or methodology?colour is smoke silver mettallic

Before filling use a product like "Rust Mort" it will prevent the rust from coming back.

I advocate cutting all the rust completely out and welding in new sections. That way you'll never have to deal with it again.

Wurth sells a rust-kill product, but its name escapes me. We use it on M-B rust warranty repairs on current production S-class sedans with rusty lower doors...whoever designed the lower weatherstrip on the doors so it traps water was not thinking that day...if it's too bad we replace the door shells and let me tell ya that isn't cheap, becasue on metallics you have to blend the quarters and fenders for color match and you wind up painting most of the car.
