Anybody have success fixing very small hood pits (not chips) using Langka? What is your technique?

I just bought the repair kit so I plan to try it for the first time this weekend.

Use it all the time. Fill the chip and make it a blob, waite 1 @1/2 hours, then rub. when you feel that the blob is gone stop. You won't even see the repair.

I have won National and Regional Shows and never had a dedution for paint.

Could you give more detail on your Langka technique? Do you use a cloth to rub the paint and do you use the plastic card they provide? What type of cloth do you use?

I am still experimenting with this product, but obviously haven't had results as good as you have.

John, actually I am referring to a "pit" versus a chip. A pit is about a 1/4 of the depth of a chip, The pits on my car are about the circumference of paper clip wire - very small. I have read that it is tough to get the paint into the pit without using a finger. I'm just curious if people here have had good success with the result. Thanks.

Pits chips same thing. I use a cloth and because of an injury to my spinal cord I watch rather then feel. I have no sense of feeling in my hands.

Blob it on make it look ugly, that will fill the pit, then watch/feel for it to become level, then stop. I wipe the area of the chip with alcohol first to clean any dirt or wax from the area. Remember to wax afterward.

It might take a few times before you get it right, but when you do you'll be amazed.

Thanks. By the way, do you have any advice about applying the clear coat? It is so thick that I have trouble avoiding the blob and someone here mentioned thinning/reducing the viscosity of the clear coat but then went on to say that sanding would be needed which I don't want to experiment with since I'm a neophyte. Apparently, after thinning the clear coat can turn cloudy. What has been your experience with it? Langka recommends mixing the paint/clear coat in a 1:1 ratio which sounds good but how the heck does one mix the perfect ratio when dealing with such small amounts and a viscous clear coat?

My Car is white, no clear coat.
