Paint Cleaning Advice

Howdy all y'all. I have an 81 300d euro and the paint sucks, plain and simple. It's not that the paint is bad, it just has all these little stains and marks all over. I have tried to clean it up with Clay Bar and some wax and even a buffer but none resulted in any improvement. When the trunk and hood are waxed and clay bared they look really nice and glossy but all the marks just make the rest look bad and getting the shine out can be tough. So do I have any options to get out the blemishes? I would love to get the paint looking good and I am trying to see if there are any products that can do the trick.

I've read about rubbing compounds and that could work as a short term solution because realistically the car will need to be repainted sooner or later, hopefully later. So if you guys could help out that would be awesome, I would love to make my 300d look sharp again.

The arrows show some stains and you can see the paint still has a lot of life left in it.

There are no miracles in a bottle or a can especially on a 25 year old car, true some can help improve but none will give you that freshly painted look you seem to be seeking. If the car is really nice and good running I suggest considering having it painted.

I am not looking for the fresh paint look, I am just looking to get rid of some of the marks on my paint. There has to be something that could help to remove some of them. I know it won't be the same as new that is for sure.

I would like to repaint but I just don't have the resources to do so. For me it isn't practical financially and it would just make me even crazier about the car.

So are there no products that can help me?

Yes they are but you'll need an orbital buffer to use them. There are a bunch of fine to aggressive cut polishes you can use. If you don't have a power tool then you can use some fine cut polishes by hand but its a tough job, you might want to work out for few months first
Your next bet is to take it to professional detailer or find out how much a body shop will charge you for a wet sanding.
Good luck.
