I have a '91 300 SL and noticed that the vinyl around the front window area and sun visors has turned much darker than original. Is there anything that will bring the original color back or is this sun fading that cannot be repaired?

In most cases (read "all") faded colours cannot be restored but possibility the ill-effects could be masked.

SEM makes a line of vinyl dyes that duplicate the colors and textures of the interior. The products are very forgiving and easy to use. If your interior is not a stock color you can have the exact color mixed. SEM also makes a cleaner prep agent that should be used. Standard colors come in spay cans and the mixed in I think pints and quarts. The final finish has just the right luster for most vinyl matches.
