Need prep. advise before paint.

My car has 17years worth of front bumper chips and several deep scratches.I am having Maco paint the car after i remove most of the parts.I need to remove all of the wax,and what should i use to remove the chips and scratches?

i'll be curious how the maaco job goes...

i would do 600...and then do 1000....

it may make sense to prime with sandable primer where the scratches are...and then paint close to the color you are getting done..then wet sand again...

no paint job is going to "fill-up" anything.
