It has been highly recommended to use "303 aerospace protectant". I used on the interior of ALL of my cars and they gleam.

Supposed to be highly protective as well!

It can be difficult to find, but you can search their site for someone that carries it close to you, or you can order it directly from them:

This is their home page:
http://www.303products.com/main.php?infopage=home

Link to the product:
http://www.303products.com/tech/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=428&CFID=1956068&CFTOKEN=4036171

I had to drive 25 miles to the next city over and get it from Ace Hardware store, because all of the Lowe's and Home Depots here have drove out Ace stores, but oddly, the city I had to go to to find an Ace store also has Home Depot/Lowes, but Ace is still hanging in there.

Good luck!

In addition to the 303, the best way to prevent dash cracking is to avoid/minimize rapid or large temperature swings inside the car. Parking the car in the shade, using a custom fitted windshield shade and generally not allowing hte inside to get overheated prevents the thermal expansion of the aluminum dash shell.

So is it O.K. to apply the 303 after treating a leather dash with a leather conditioning product? Thanks.

On this subject, does anyone know where to get a custom fitted windshield sun screen for a W116?
