Found the Perfect Glass Cleaner!

Okay everyone, detailing the car today, I used this stuff called "Hope's Perfect Glass..." It comes in a black spray bottle and is seen at Linen's and Things and Bed, Bath and Beyond. I've also seen it online, just do a search. THIS STUFF IS THE BEST GLASS CLEANER I'VE EVER SEEN. I hope you all try it! No streaks, and you can use just paper towels... AWSOME!

glass cleaner

a 50/50 mix of water and 90% or more rubbing alcohol is much cheaper and will do the same job.

The Best Is.............

ALL CAPS!! 4 A REASON!!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST GLASS CLEANING TECHNIQUE IS TO SPRINKLE WATER ON THE GLASS WITH YOUR HANDS AND WIPE IT CLEAN WITH A NEWSPAPER. GUARANTEED TO BE THE BEST CLEANED GLASS YOU EVER HAD or you can come and kick my ass. NO NEED to buy ANYTHING!
Try it and let me know. Also works around the house just as well cleaning the bathroom mirror and windows.

This is a good thread to add this in - For those with older cars, it makes a huge difference to buff out your glass every year or so. Everyone knows what the view is like after a new windshield You can have that view again. Take out those small acid rain and sand pits, water spots. Easy DIY and very inexpensive (if you have a high speed buffer). This is a good surface to learn about high speed buffing - rather than your paint.

I have used newspapers, but not the water on hand. Normaly just Windex in a spray bottle. I dont like scraping bugs off with my hands.

Did you mean a 50/50% water and 90% strength rubbing alcohol?

Anyway, much cheaper and better is an admixture of water and ordinary white vinegar.

A 10:1 mix of distilled water and distilled vinegar wiped down with newspaper also works great.

I keep a can of Stoner Invisible Glass in my car, I think that stuff works great too.

I also have used the water and newspaper on windows at home. Yes, it works great. The news print seems to polish the windows. On the other hand I also put in a few drops of dishwasher detergent into bucket of water and then add a little ammonia. Then I use a squeegee or blade like window washers use and this too works very well...no streaking. then I buff with dry terry towel.

I am sold on distilled water mixed with distilled vinegar. I apply with microfiber cloth, and buff with a dry microfiber cloth. Nothing works better.

Yes, it's an old trick but it does work.

Surely you would need to buy a newspaper, I can see an ass kicking coming. (can we do this online?)

Newsprint doesn't polish windows. It used to with older types of ink, but now it's just as useful as using printer paper. Personally, I use an MF plus a bit of water. If I need to use a window cleaner, the nod goes to Stoner's Invisible Glass.
