I just fitted a set of Al. door sill on the W126, and its groovy. I have red interior and red plastic door sills which are now centred with an Al. sill pasted horizontally across.

Its really plush when the doors are opened. Gleaming.

The cost: RM120 (Approx. USD30)

ps. its cheaper than having a chromed set.

Hi YMsin, can we all have a look at some pics of your sills?

I wanted to do mine too, but so far, I can only find the chrome types bearing either "Mercedes Benz" or "AMG" embossed imprint. And a set costs S$200 (approx.US$120) at least, more for the AMG. But I'm sure it'll add class!

Are your sills the stick-on type, or the replacement type?

Hello Merv - they're the stick-on type. I dont know if they can be personalised, but it does bear the words: MERCEDES BENZ.

Pretty cheap compareed to Singapore.

Want the chap's number? Perhaps he could mail it over to you ...

Ps. Dont have a scanner ... (bummer)

I havent decided on which type I want: the stick-on or the replacement sill. But thanks anyway, if I do want it, I'll get the info from you.

Cheers!
