Gotta Love Mercedes Benz Engineering

While backing out of my driveway yesterday I accidentally hit a rather huge Dodge Ram pickup truck parked across the street opposite my driveway. The rear right side of the truck crumbled like a piece of tin foil. My car sustained a slight abrasion on the rear right corner of the body, directional signal lens and bumper. This car, a 420SEL, is built like a tank. I'm really impressed although I am rather depressed that it has to go into the body repair shop for the first time.

The body shop recommended buffing and touch-up paint since it can't exactly match the paint. The most noticeable mark is a dull/hazy abrasion about three inches long on the rounded right rear corner of the body (no dents). Thinner was applied and then the body shop applied rubbing compound with an orbital waxer. This brought back the shine and at home I applied a few coats of Klasse All-in-One with my PC but the abrasions can still be seen from a certain angle (sort of looks like grooves after sanding). Is this the best result that I can expect or could someone recommend another process that might improve upon it? Is there another wax that will do a better job of filling? Thanks.

P.S. If you go to my ShopForum Gallery I posted a photo there

There used to be some El Cheapo wax at Walmart, that came in different colors ( white, red, black, green, etc. ).
Might want to check that out.
