Glove box door lock replacement...
Would anybody know what the safest way to remove a glove box door lock tumbler would be?
I have been trying to swap out the lock on a used door I purchased and I'm not having much luck. I really want to avoid breaking the plastic enclosure it's in. Thanks, GC

I e-mailed GC about this post.
I am doing the same thing on my 1982 300TD and cannot figure how to release the tumbler and install it into the new (used) glove box dorr I have. Anyone know how to do this. Dave

Removing glove box door lock
The lock may be removed by compressing the camswith pliers. Note that the top face of the lock is marked "OBEN". Good luck!!
