Interior Makover

Gentelmen

I will be doing an interior makover on a 1986 MB 560SL which will include a color change from Palamino to Black. I see many different adds for lether seat covers and carpet sets on E-bay and else where. Prices vary widely The most expensive place I found so far is GAHH having some products nearly twice the price of adds I'v seen in E-bay.

I would like to know your thoughts on interior suppliers. Are they all about the same quality or are there suppirior suppliers. Any recomendations.

http://www.worlduph.com/hubpageMERCEDES.htm This is an excellent source for interiors - good quality. Also check out performance products. They have a good selection of SL interior parts.

I agree, your best bet is to just replace the seat cover.

Adsitco has some good seat covers.
I took a look at the leatherique, and I am wondering is there a very strong cleaner they have?I are a few black marks on my driver side bolster in my S500 and I wouldnt mind removing them. Can someone please tell me which product I should use to remove them. Also, regular leather cleaner does not remove it.
Any suggestions?

That'll buff right out!

actually I got a new cover for my W123 Armrest from
www.gahh.com

To be honest, they're the only people I saw that had W123 parts available at a reasonable cost. The product look and feel was worth every penny to me.

I looked at GAHH and they seamed very expensive.

I went with this guy from E-bay.

kush213@yahoo.com

The stuff looks very good layed out, But I really need to install it to tell.

I paid $2005 for interior and trunk carpets, leather 9 pice seat covers, side pannel covers, boot cover and a German canvas top.

I also got 4 genuine MB seat pads from Performance products, as recomended by the above person. They havent come in yet, thats what is holding up the project.

The rest of the color change will be done with SEM interior paint. I will probably buy new armrests and a few other parts from Fastlane at they get handeled way to much to trust the SEM. I cant belive new sunvisors are over $400.00 each. The SEM will do just fine on those even if I have to redo them each year.

Sounds like a good price.

Does that guy have a website?

Can you provide a link to the ebay auction, or maybe provide his ebay user name?
