Re-condition leather steering wheel
I heard that after shave works well for this type of project. Any experience?

After shave?
What? You rub the steering wheel with after shave? I've never heard of that. I guess it would at least smell better.

I've heard of people . . .
I've heard of people using shaving CREAM to soften baseball gloves and shape them. Could that be what you're thinking of? It probably has aloe or lanolin in it.

I heard of Shaving cream cleaning on leather couches to clean stains. I guess you could do that.
I'm going to get a WheelSkins cover for mine, I dont have a leather wheel. My moms W126 has a leather wheel that I conditioned with Lexol regularly and still looks good at 15 years old. Anyone tried leatherique for wheel reconditioning?

I've been thinking about making and installing another leather wrap for my steering wheel. Mine has a hole in it, or I'd try the shaving cream.

Saddle soap?
Anybody ever try using saddle soap for this? I used to use it to clean my shoes before polishing them. It helped keep the leather clean and supple. My dad taught me that.
We'd line up our shoes ever Saturday night, get out the shoe shine kit and shine them bad boys up. I think of him everytime I shine my shoes. My dad had the best looking shoes of anyone I've ever known. His cars always looked brand new, too.
