Just bought a new 06 Prius, and the salesman said that i should only use this [Sealant Cleaner] and not wax.How good is this stuff,and is it better then Meguires wax?

I don't know who makes the sealent for Toyota, but as far as I know, and I'm quite certain that Toyota paint is NOT specialized enough that it demands only Toyota branded sealant.

Meguiars makes a nice wax and other companies make some very nice sealents.

Traditionally dealers have not been totally truthful about sealant products and applications.

My 2005 Tundra came with a bottle of Toyoguard and I've never even opened the bottle. I use Meguiars #26 Hi-Tech wax and it works great. Sometimes I use the Meguiars glaze before waxing.

Mercedes says the same thing. But all there "offical" products are nothing but Meguiars with a different sticker on the bottle. :D
