Hi, i am wonering where can I purchase MB rubber floor mats other than the dealer. I am looking for the rubber floor mats somewhere else than dealer because he wants 189+tax for them

I am located in Toronto Ontario and I am looking for rubber floor mats new or maybe used (good condition) for a 95 E300D.

I have the same car as yours. What rubber mats are you referring to? The winter mats, or the summer carpet mats? What's wrong with your mats?

Hey pberku, I only have the summer floormats that are made out of carpet. I am looking for rubber or "all season floor mats" for my car as I do not have them at all. Only the carpet floormats came with the car.

I paid for the dealer's stuff as it just fits so well. I had some good aftermarket all-season rubber mats that I bought from Autozone once. They had a similar pattern to the MB mats at 1/2 the price.

They were fine but they moved around quite a bit at the back.

1995 E320 with the rubber mats. I wouldn't recomend them as I think the fit isn't that great. I am talking about the factory rubber mats with the Mercedes Star on them. You must cut them to fit your application. Even when they are cut properly in the rear, they don't fit right. The front is too long and covers the rear heat ducts.

I have the rubber, winter floor mats in my W124 that were purchased 4 years ago from the dealer. They have the star logo on them.

They fit and finish is impeccable. They are cut to the exact shape of the floor. They have never moved a centimeter.

I would use nothing else.

Hmmm I just phone a nearby MB dealer and the price for the rubber floor mats for the W124 is (CAN) $108 inlc. tax , previously I was quoted $180+tax for floor mats, but that was for the carpet floor mats.

108 dollars seems little steep for rubber floormats but my uncle has them on his W140 and they never moved around and the fitment is perfect.
I just want to buy floor mats that have a good fit because on all other cars we had, the floor mats were bought at Wal Mart or CND Tire and the fit was very poor!

BTW today I finished school earlier and I washed the carpet floor mats. The floor mats are exact fit, but there is no MB logo on them? They are made from the same material as the floor mats that we had in our 190E and those were presumably OEM.

I agree with "suginami", the MB rubber mats are perfect and I can’t imagine using anything else. As suginami said, "The fit and finish is impeccable. They are cut to the exact shape of the floor."

"Customized" rubber mats from a mat company were $40 + a little for front only. Dealer's rubber mats for front and rear were about $100.
I wanted to save $50+ and bought non-MB mat only for front. I really regret. The "customized" mat does not fit well.

They sell at better price than dealer, but I do not know whether the mats perfectly fit to W124.

This might be the wrong place to save a few bucks, as poor fitting mats that slide around are not only a royal pain, but can be a safety issue if they slide up and interfere with pedal access.

I bought the MB mats for my 210 at the dealer, they were only around $60 with the MBCA discount. They look great, fit absolutely perfect and don't move at all, are thick and sturdy yet pliable, and so far (1 winter) seem very durable. Wish I could get mats like this for my other vehicles.

Hi, today I went to the dealer to check out the rubber floormats. They look great and the it looks like they are the perfect fit. However they are not as sturdy as the W140 chassis floormats. A family member has rubber floor mats in his S320 and they have nice high rim (or sidewall) (about 1 inch tall) all around the floormats in order to really keep the dirt where it belongs. The W124 floor mats have a smaller sidewall and that kind of disapointed me

I dunno maybe I am criticising those W124 mats too muchm, but I really want quality mats because the carpet is just so mint

BTW do you guys keep your carpet floormats under the rubber mats or do you just take out the carpet floor mats and put the rubber mats directly on the floor?

I always leave the carpet mats for extra protection against dirt!

I have the OEM rubber mats in my car and can guarantee you, the lip is NOT high enough to retain all the snow & slush in the winter.
You WILL end up with overflow & ugly white saltspots on the carpet.
Btw., it is not a great idea to have carpet & rubbermats at the same time.

For the front, I have Weathertech® ClassicTM Premium Rubber Mats for W124 on original MB carpet mat. Because this rubber mat does not fit well, I want the carpet mat still be there.

I considered buying rubber mat for front, because MB carpet floor mat tended to crumple behind the heel pad.

Though this rubber mat does not fit well, it can contain a lot of water. Quite much.

Hey can you expand on not having carpet & rubbermats a the same time? I know it is little thicker but otherwise?

So if the OEM rubber floor mats doesn't have sufficient lip to retain slush and moisture, where would you guys go to buy floormats?
Canadian Tire?
Wal Mart?
Maybe some good store in the GTA area?

I still can't imagine using anything else and of course I use the carpet floor mats and the rubber mats. The more protection the better.

The rubber mats can not hold gallons of water, but I wasn’t planning to give a snowman a ride in my car.

I am absolutely positive that there is not a better fitting or better behaved floor mat than the OEM rubber all weather mat.

Wal Mart, K-Mart, or Target, Ha Ha Ha ……… You must be kidding or crazy to think that you can get something better than the MB mats.
