The net hangs vertically from a hook on either side and at the top of the black plastic sill trim. If you recently bought the net and haven't used it yet you'll need to remove an existing fastener on each side and install the hooks. Instructions should have come with the net.

Either that or it's the version that covers the trunk floor and attaches at the four corners.

You slip stuff under it that you don't want sliding around.

You get to unhook it every time you raise the spare tire cover.
