Mother's wax is alot better.Meguiars "detailer" line is awesome!I havent used Mother's nor Meguiars car wash (always used Turtle Wax),but I just bought a bottle of the Next stuff car wash. The Meguiars Hot rim cleaner is not very good, but the Hot Tire Shine can keep a tire shining for a very long time.I like Mothers, but my son likes Meguiars.Doesnt Mercedes suggest Meguiars?

Yeah, I do like Mother's waxes a bit more too.

I know that the Mercedes-Benz products that you could buy at a dealer are mostly a special formulation of a Meguiar's product.

I bought a bottle of Mother's glaze and a bottle of their wax, will wash and detail the cars tonight or tomorrow night to see how it compares.

Yea,I just picked up a bottle of the Mothers rims cleaner. Was going to wash and wax the S500,but the hose was broken.Did you pick up a clay-bar?You should use it before you glaze and wax.

And,when you go to Pep Boy's or any other car shop, they sell a Meguiars Clay-bar kit.It includes the exterior detailer, two clay bars,a little bottle of wax and a cloth. The detailer really comes in handy. Are you using a liquid wax or a normal wax?

They are both great products. I have used them both and for some reason liked Meguiars more. But you shouldn't have a problem getting good results with either.

Recently I prefer choice C, Griots! I'm going easy on there stuff until I get the SDL re painted, because it is $. But the results! If you want to show at Pebble Beach its the stuff to use!

I was going through my shelves in the garage, and I dug up a Mercedes exterior cleaning kit that I bought when I got my 1988 560SEL.Its been about 10 years since ive seen that kit.All the products were almost brand-new,just dirty from sitting so long. All the products were still amazing!I slapped some on the S500 and it looked awesome! It was a little watery, but for 10 years,it was awesome.I still think just to be on the safe side,im going to use the Mother's wax still. My brother in-law just gave me a special wax that they use at his car wash.I threw some on,but it didnt even shine like the Mother's wax.
Has anyone used the Mothers Powerball?

Oh and I came home and caught my son waxing the S500 at 11:30 at night with this wax I taught him right!

I prefer Meguairs. They have a huge product line and generally good stuff. I'm not the best detailer but some cleaner, polish and wax you can do some amazing stuff.

To each his own

Well, I have not washed up the 280C yet, tomorrow I am taking it for an oil change, then I will wash up.

Here is what I got with some Meguiar's at Pepboy's. #9 Glaze and Gold Class LIQUID wax.
Installed a new cloaking device, do you like it?

I have started to use more liquid wax as it is easy to apply and remove...

I use Meguiars #7 Glaze,is the #9 better? When you do the interior, use some of the Meguiars detailer stuff. And make sure you pick up a bottle of quick-detailer for the outside of the car,it makes it easy to clean up the car to make the waxing look nicer.
