Peeling Steering Wheel

Does anyone know of any fixes to a peeling steering wheel on my 98 W202?

every time i drive i get leather bits all over my hands and my steering wheel looks horrible.

Short of replacing the only thing you can do is clean it and cover it up with a quality wheel cover from http://www.wheelskins.com/

I had the same problem on my 16v, but ended up buying a lightly used wheel instead. There IS a guy on the net that offers steering wheel leather replacement, you can buy the service from him (he'll send you a donor wheel in the meantime) or you can buy a kit. I bought the kit but haven't used it; i'll see if i can find it tommorow and give the name to you.

cheers,
