Bubble in black paint on door frame W210
This is the door frame behind the window between the front and rear side glass - where you might accidentally spray the windex if you were washing both front and rear side windows. The problem started as a 1cm bubble caused by overzealous pressure washing at Benchmark Collision center, Nashville, TN (the only MB authorized body shop in a 250 mile radius) while they were fixing my collapsed shock tower. I knew I should have called it to their attention but I was so desperate to get the car back after they leisurely repaired it over a two month period. Now there is about six inches of the coating which has turned loose from the metal. Surprisingly, the paint or plastic coating has stayed intact except for a half inch hole. I am thinking of filling a syringe with super glue and injecting it behind the loose coating then smoothing it out. Anyone fixed this themselves?
TIA, -Tom

Tom, if it's the area I am thinking of, isn't that a removeable part, you cold just replace it? Or is it lower, on the paint itself??

It's probably replaceable (for - my estimate - $200) but the paint looks fine unless water gets behind it - when it's warm out the only imperfection is the 1cm missing paint chip, which I can retouch. The section of paint that has lost adhesion to the metal looks perfect when there isn't water behind it (believe it or not). Thanks for your reply Gilly. You must work this board full time!

Can you post a pic of it, or if it doesn't show very well can you just take a pic of the area and do a retouch on the photo to show the area you mean?
Nope, not full time, I do try to pic out posts with no replies to try to get the ball rolling for people, seems to help. I might not know the answer, but I tend to attract people who do. Hey, that's kind of catchy, isn't it... Gilly
