opinions on floormats for 300D (w123)
It's the rainy season where I live, which means I have to slog through mud around the homestead to get to and from my car ('83 300D turbo.. w123 chassis).
So, I'm thinking of getting some nice rubber floor mats that'll keep the water and mud off the carpet. I did a search on the Internet and on shopforum and here's a smattering of what I found:
I'm wondering if anyone has opinions on which of these is best, or if there's one I haven't found yet that would be better? Thanks. |
How about OE Mercedes rubber floor mats?

Back in Jan. '01 I got the Weathertech mats from O'Neill for the coupe and an '01 Volvo C70 for about $45 a pair, and $44 a pair, repsectively, using the Internet discount. The Mercedes had a black interior, so I got black ones. By the way they are constructed, they can hold a lot of snow and muck, before you need to take them out of the car and shake them out or clean them off, they are good for winter and horrible conditions, they really do work as they should.
They are really rugged, easy to clean up, and the fit is very good, was my experience. I still have them in the Mercedes and after almost 7 years I must say I am pleased, they withstood the test of time. (I put them over the standard MB floormats too and no problems at all.) I personally would recommend them as a good value on an excellecnt product, myself. |
I like the Weathertech mats too. They're even available in a color approaching palomino.

Got Weathertech in both of my 300D's, my F150, and my wife's Mustang.
Guess I must like them. |
