The white part of the tail light lens on my 1991 420 sel is not brite clear anymore. I was thinking of trying the clay paint cleaner since it pulls so much dirt from the paint. Does anybody have any ideas how I might restore these or should I buy new?

Since the lights are [;astic and constantly exposed to UV rays, they turn hazy and yellow. No solution that I know of to fix it other than replacing them.

I have used clay bars on plastic before, but it wasnt a MB and it was on the headlight lens which was easy cause it was smooth unlike a taillight lens where its up and down.
But anyway, it worked really good. After that I use Meguiars plastic polish cleaner and polish and it helped. If that doesnt work, then like CJ says, you have to replace it. Goodluck |
