Thanks to your advice, I purchased some of this Turtle Wax (the black) with the little filler stick.
I have not used it yet... but I have a question. Are you saying that you can use just the wax (on a larger surface, for example, the front bumper, with tons of little white nicks), and without using the filler stick (too many little nicks), it should hopefully remove some of them? Or make them less noticeable? Or should I just purchase the touch up paint and buy the clay bar for the bigger chips?

GOOD NEWS!!
APPRENTICE!!
I purchased the bottle of turtle wax, for black paint, like Roas suggested... and it worked wonders! I did the front bumpers, the little peices below the headlights, and the side view mirrors, and they all look 80% + better! Try this stuff, you won't be let down! And thanks Roas for the advice, I appreciate it. But damn, once again I forgot to take a before picture! This is a picture of my bumper before... you can't see the nicks or white chips too well, but it's better than nothing. And here is an after... [Edited by David C Klasse on 07-21-2001 at 08:26 PM]

So far....so good.
I just washed the car a couple of days ago and the colored wax seems to be removed in the larger chips.
Will reapply another coat and see how it holds up to a regular car shampoo. So far I am very happy with this wax, but the hard wax filler stick seems to tedious for many chip marks. Use only rags you DON'T car about. |
