Seat cover swap 190e w201

My girlfriend is about to buy an '87 190e.... its in pretty good shape except for the drivers seat.

I've managed to source a good passenger seat that matches, my question is can the cover from the 'new' passenger seat be installed onto the existing drivers seat?

Thanks,

Ben.

If it is the same seat yes. You'll have to remove the seat back from the seat bottom and once that is done you flip the seat over on cushion and apply a bit of pressure on it. The edge of the seat cover had a lip. Hard to explain but you will see what I am talking about wen you pull it.

You will need a seat of pliers and those heavy duty upholstery clip things. Again, not sure how to explain but when you get in there you will see what I mean. Not a hard job but I'd say it's a 2 or 3 on the PIA scale 10 being worst.
