not sure this is the right place, buut....

heres the extemely minor deal.

my cigarette lighter plug seems to be too big.
i have a 1980 280 se, the w126 chassis, it's a grey market car, made in germany.

anybody else have the same issue?

my car chager from my cell phone is a little loose, i bought the actual cigarette lighter at Ace, and it's a lot loose.is the adapter on this car larger than a modern american car? or am i just crazy?

if it is larger, can i get any sort of replacement? any help would be....helpful

I run into the same type of thing in my W123. It works, but everything feels a bit too loose.

it works with my car charger for my cell, but loose enough that it disconnects at the slightes bump, or even just when i look at it too long/don't look at it enough.
can i swap for a modern, american standard? or should i just deal with the annoyance?
