116 seats in a 126??????HELP

I have a BEAUTIFUL set of seats (front and back) from a 1979 300sd,(116 model) and I was wondering if I could replace my power seats from my 1982 300SD (126 model). I realize that the power buttons would be useless, but does anyone know if the seats will fit???? Thanks for ANY in-put

only one way to find out. . .break out the socket set and do a test fit. . .measure the "box" the footprint of the seats make, this should give you an idea if you dont want to remove a seat unnecessarily. . .I suspect that the tracks may be longer in the 126 though. . .
