Manual adjust power seats
Hi all, I have some power to my right front seat in my 1990 300CE. The seat back and head rest will adjust, the seat bottom will only move rearward sometimes. I swapped seat switches and the bottom cushion still will not adjust. My question, is there a way to manually move the seat if the power motor has failed? My manual does not show how to adjust an electric seat manually if the motor has failed.

You're going to have to troubleshoot it.
'Only moves with power. Split diagram below.

How common is it that the motors in these seats fail? I like manually-operated seats and windows just fine, personally.

I gave up trying to remove and buy a really nice power seat at Pick-n-Pull. No way to get to the mounting bolts unless you have power to move the seat. They would not let me enter with my power pack to provide power.
It seems like a hard job to troubleshout if you can't get to the conncections. Maybe at the end of the wiring harness you can do the tests?
