wax striper?

Just bought a 95 SL320. The paint is in great shape but the "brainiac" that sold the car to me ran it though the car wash and had it waxed. He still had the paint/marker that he used to put the price on the windshield still on the car when he went through the car wash!!! The white paint/marker is under the wax. I tried to use the clay and polish but that would not remove it. What can I use to strip the wax that will not hurt my clear coat or finish.Any ideas or thoughts?

Any dishwashing soap is strong enough to remove wax from your paint.

I second the dish soap ... I like Dawn. It's actually tougher to find a soap that WON'T strip the wax off.

Yep, I agree with Dawn. I've read that it is the most alkaline of all the dish soaps.

I know the Zaino Brothers wax company recommends Dawn by name.

i use a degreaser. i like one called chem-eze. i get it from a supplier. i do auto body, and before we paint i use chem eze. however any non acid based degreaser will work. the acid will stain paint brownish.
