Re-stuffing rear seat back
Does anyone have any ideas on what I should use to re-stuff the rear seat back on my '78 240d? All the horsehair has broken apart and is settled under the seat bottom. How would I access the back? From the trunk behind the divider?
Thanks! |

Try this place
Here's a place in California that seems to have all sorts of stuff like that.

There should be studs protuding through the rear metal panel. I believe there are four. Remove the seat lower, remove the nuts and the back pulls forward.
Use a high quality foam for automobile upholstery. Replace both the back and the seat. Check with your local upholsterer's. Is the MBTex still in good shape? |

Thanks for the replies.
The TEX is in showroom condition. So, I have already removed the seat bottom using the quick release pulls on the bottom, can you please run it by me again how to remove the back? |

I re-stuffed my back seat with High Density Foam I purchased at the local fabric store.
