I'm thinking about a winter project to custom make a third brake light and I need to know the circumference of the trunk lid star that is on the models listed in the title. I can get one of these on Fleabay. I'm going to need a star smaller than the 4" one on the lid of my 560SL to make room for the new brakelight.

Would one of you owners kindly measure the size and post back?

Anyone have a star smaller than 4" for sale, if such exists?
