Hazey paint

Gentlemen,

I own a 5 year old black 500s coupe.Polished up nicely with my porter-crane polisher. But in directly reflected sunlight the paint appears quite hazy yet mirror smooth. What would anyone suggest. And how can I minimize new fine swirl-marks every time I wash even when paying attention to details.

Thanks

the hazy condition most likely is a function of the detailing products used on the surface of the finish- I used to have haze/clouding and now I don't, since using Zaino (properly)

generally, the goal is to stop adding fine scratches in the wash and detailing process and also to address them with products that are safe for the finish and do not cloud/haze providing protection & gloss

follow Lee's tips, nothing new to add on an age-old process

I also use only new applicators for detailing to avoid adding scratches coupled with the softest touch (after all its a 'finishing process'- - not a scrub down for a old thick skinned rhino)

let us know what turns out for you- Zaino has worked for me (after decades of trying every super premium/ cost is no object natural/ synthetic finishing product).

About to order the Zaino product for my 88 300TE with dark red slightly faded paint. Do these products leave powdery residue like other cleaning/waxes? I have a lot of tiny chips that really show up after polishing/waxing with the wrong product.

1975 450SL, does it have clearcoat or not?

Getting ready to put in an order for this ZAINO stuff but not sure whether to order the #Z2 for clearcoated paint or #Z3 for regular paint...does anyone know which one is right for this car?

thanks in advance
