Dying seats?

I've got a pair of heated seats in my 124 parts car. I want to put them in my driver but it's interior is blue. The heated seats are beige. Would it be feasible to dye the beige a darker color? I'm thinking black would be easiest but wanted opinions before jumping right in.

Leather or MB Tex?

Whoops!
EDIT:

SEM has a system for dyeing either.

See SUNGUY'S post below.

Do an "Advanced Search" .I know I've read about this on this forum.
I think you might mean 'SEM'... http://aolsearch.aol.com/aol/redir?src=websearch&s_req=37f33b2c571b838f&s_cr=1&s_cq=%27sem%2Bcoatings%27&s_cid=273932764619206001 021639296845478372542&s_cim=1226816399061&s_cu=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.semproducts.com%2F&s_cd=web&s_cm=mat chingsites.M.xml&s_ct=%3Cb%3ESEM%3C%2Fb%3E+Products+-+Home+Site&s_cp=1&s_cpr=1

Great stuff for either leather or MBTex/Vinyl. Be religious about following the prep instructions. Site above has a where to buy button/link to locate a local to you retailer.

Leatherique's dyes work very well. I used their stuff to redye the seats in my SEC with good results. Of course, I redyed them the color they were originally, but if you prep them correctly, a color change should work, too. They have kits that include everything you need to do it right.

well to do it a cheap way, get some dye and put it in a spray bottle. I dont know where to get any but just check around some stores. But im guessing youll need lots to get the whole thing covered in black.

You can actually buy something called Plastic/vinyl dye that is made for automotive use and comes in a spray can already, ask around at your local auto shops, its a actual dye that seeps into the items and works really really really well on all types of leather, vinyl plastic, and even carpets. Did not fade in the 2 years i had the car and did not rub off either like the paints are prone to doing.

If you get one of the Leatherique kits, get the smallest one. I got the quart size and it was way more than I needed. Also, pay the extra money for a custom match. Mine is okay with a stock color, but it's not an exact match.
