dash cover
For those who have gotten the Coverlay dash covers, does the color match? I am considering getting one, but want to know if it will match my blue interior. Their website worries me by saying that exact color match is not guaranteed. I am assuming that the dark blue would be the closest match to the blue interior w123?
I'd rather not go with black, and would rather not have the carpet...just my preferences.

Ive been wondering the same thing. My 240d has one some time of dash skin on it that is warp, cracked, wrong color blue, etc. It needs to be replaced.

I bought a blue one for my '87 300D (W124) and thought that the color match was acceptable. I didn't like the physical fit, however, and returned it. Others have been happy with theirs.

Hmm, the fit is another question, but until i see one I won't be able to determine if it's any good. I have heard of several people having problems with warping, but I am pretty sure that with proper installation (to include vacuum fitting) it would be fine. My largest concern is on the edges, and how obvious it would be that it was on there. I was under the impression that they are pretty seamless.

Here are some pictures in my gallery. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/members/rcounts-albums-coverlay.html It is actually a closer color match than it looks like in the pictures, but it is a shade or two lighter and a little bit grayer in color than the original. Looks 1000% better than the original cracked dash though...

The blue color match is fine, seems I was the only one who knew it wasn't the real dash. I finally dyed a black dash from my parts car, came out looking like the original blue dash. the "cover lay" never did set well with me.

Coverlay vs. Adsit
Are there any opinions on which fit and look better - Coverlay vs. Adsit? Adsit runs about $12-15 cheaper, but I wonder if you sacrifice color matching and fit.

I put the blue cover in Elvira maybe 7-8 years ago, very good match, easy to fit if you follow the directions. I've had people look at the dash and say - wow, your dash is in good condition.

I am having a new thought about what I want to do. I didn't want to do a carpet like cover, but I am having a hard time figuring out what speakers I can get to fit in the dash without making it look like I put speakers in there. What other options do I have that will cover the dash speakers and still look classy? Pictures are preferred.

That time I was asking about Bens lover's soft cover that time, but for future members references, I would prefer a range of possibilities.
Any other soft tops out there?

Max, my 300TD, has a blue dash cap that I didn't even realize WAS a dash cap at first. Is that what you're referring to? It was put there by a PO, so I don't know where it came from, but the color matched perfectly on it.
