Finding forest green MB-Tex
Hi folks,
My W126 is forest green with forest green MB-TEX. Where can I find MB-TEX in this color ? No, World upholstery doe snot carry it...I happen to like this color very much on a W126 but it is very difficult to get interior pices in this color let alone any touch-up spray paint. Any suggestions ? Denis Lion sur mer France |

Denis, I don't think there is a forest green MB tex, or at least not in the U.S. vernacular. There's green (136), dark green (156) and pine green (176). It's not clear to me why you'd have to get German vinyl from the U.S. but if you do the Veteran Company - http://www.veteranco.com/ - is probably the only place that you would find it. Color names and codes are all screwed up however so you'd need to contact them and ask for samples of all the greens.

Forest green MB-TEX
Hi deanyel,
I am not looking for a US supplier...just any supplier but not the factory "Classic" supplier becaus the €€€€€. There definitely was MB-TEX in that color but probably not for the US market. Some german tastes in color do not fit north american ideas but are often compatible with english and northern European tastes. I was just fishing for suggestions. The color paint code is 822 BTW. I guess I have to bite the bullet and go snooping in Germany or at the (gulp) "Classic" centers... Cheers Denis Lion sur mer France |

822 is the exterior paint code for forest green but wouldn't have anything to do with the interior code - which would be a much lower three digit number. I've never seen an interior color with the same name as the exterior color. The interior color code would be on the data plate, the production data card and the vehicle master inquiry. Getting that code would be the place to start. I'm still guessing it's a 136, 156 or 176.
