Rust converter

I am using a rust converter in restoring my 76 300d. has anyone had experience with this product long term. It seems to work as they say. I am curious as to five years down the road?

I tried it last year and so far the rust hasn't appeared.

I used "Rust Reformer" from Rustoleum. Bought it at Home Depot. After treatment I applied three thin coats of flat black Rustoleum spray paint.

The parts I treated are the metal brackets that support the rubber bumper surrounds on my W123 240D. They're stamped sheetmetal, and weren't rusted enoughto affect their strength. I also treated the two clamps that hold the battery tray in place, but I had to replace the rusted-out battery tray. I don't know how long the treatment will last, but at least the parts look good now!
