Taillight mod. w124.
I just broke one of my aftermarket taillights. so I had to replace them with some original I had lying around. Then I thought for my self, now is the chance to do what I have long wanted to do. To have all three red lights on each side as driving lights, and at the same time have a brake light. In a regular setup, this is not possible. But I made a workaround, wich maybe someone else would like that I shared?
I used some parts from the aftermarket lights I had, to rebuild the lightsockets. I wanted three driving lights down low on the rear light, and move the brakelight to the middle. which I thought looked the best. If you look at the picture, I have made a twin powered socket for a "double light bulb". 21W/5W. and I changed all the rest of the driving lights to 5w aswell. this means the total power drawn from the circuits shouldnt be too much, and I guess the amount of light at the rear would be close to legal? please look at the pictures and tell me if you like the idea. Thanks man! Do you have pictures of your car with this mod? It would be cool if you could upload them to show others how it would look on a w201.

for mine, I had a blank spot for a light, so I moved my brake lights to the inner spaces by the license plates and have my driving lights just inside of the turn signal lights
