Removing interior panels in a 1987 SEC
I'm trying to Remove the interior side panels in the rear of a 1987 SEC so I can get to the windows to apply tinting. I can't seem to find how these panels are attached. Anybody know?

I'm sure somebody knows the answer to this.

Anybody? I think I'll take another stab at this today, but I'd hate to break something, a distinct possibility once I start disassembling anything.

Why don't you just take it to a shop that does window tinting? It can't cost much more than $100 for all four windows.
I've noticed that window tint shops routinely tint windows without taking off door panels.

I already have the tint and I don't have the money at the moment. I'm out of work right now and trying not to spend money I don't have to spend. Plus, I have the time to do it. The reason I need to remove the side panels in the back seat is because the front seat belt presenters stick up in front of the rear windows. There's no way to sqeegee the tint in that corner of the glass without removing them.

I do it much less often now, but there was a time when I would go to a junk yard and take things apart. That's how I first learned to do brakes. I have not had them apart on my SEC but I have a replacement for my current non-op pass side seat belt presenter, so, one of these days I will have to get in there. The top trim piece is the key - once its off, the panel usually pops off. Sometimes MB uses almost microscopic little screws to attach something - watch for that too.
