bad rear seat help.

On my 81 300SD the top of the rear seat has big holes in it, and is brittle.
So how do you repair this? How hard is it to actually re-upholster this?
The car is Blue and the rear is faded also.

What options, or ideas?

only option is to find one in better shape or buy the new rear seat skin from GAHH and prepare to say GAHHH when you see the price

It is MB tex. The front is bad also. Anyone ever re-done one of these without a kit. For use, not for original.

To save money, see if you can find a whole interior one in a bone yard, even if it is black or something. In all defese of GAHH, the covers are probably as well sewn as MB with identical material, you are paying for quality, and less of a hard swallow than MB.
recycler...
