Question Sunroof Deflector & Bug Guard

I have a 2002 ML320. I wanted to buy a sunroof deflector and a bugguard on the internet, but noone is listing them as fitting a 2002. Does anyone know if what is specified as fitting a 2001 will also fit a 2002?

Their website is a little thin as opposed to their mailing catalog, so call the toll-free number and request one.

For my 99 ML320, I have a bug guard ($100) and a sunroof deflector ($35) from them and they are a perfect fit. They supply tons of stuff for MBs, and I have been satisfied with their service.

Probably too early to offer 2002 versions, but both the bug guard and the deflector install with clips, so there is no esoteric construction issues to deal with. The sunroof deflector should be universal, and the bug guard only has to match the contour of the front hood lip. If your 2002 is the same as the 2001 in that regard, you should be fine.

The company has a no-questions-asked return policy as well, so there is no harm in ordering it and sending it back if it doesn't work for you..

What do the sunroof reflectors do exactly? Deflect noise, light rain ? I have read the advertising but would like to hear from someone who actually has one.

Sun roof deflector

On the highway, the noise from the open sunroof is greatly diminshed with the sunroof deflector. I had one on my last vehicle which was not an MB, but I have read numerous testimonies from M-class owners that it makes a GREAT difference in the noise volume.

The deflector now allows me to open the sunroof fully and be able to have a conversation in a normal volume...even on the highway! The noise is dramatically reduced! No more yelling!

Also the turbulence is diminished, so my daughter doesn't complain anymore about the wind that typically rushes to the back seat passengers!

I'm getting one for my 300E as well.
