Center console door

The flexible door in my center console has fallen on hard times. The car is a '93 300CE. In searching this forum I ran across a post by ds190 mentioning that door parts were available. My Benz dealer wants $300 for a new door. Does anyone know how to access part numbers for individual pieces such as the handle/locking piece?
Thanks
Anziani

You might get lucky and find one at ebay – I got my roll-top door from a member at another forum that was parting out his car. You may want to search the classifieds section of this and other forums and see if anyone is parting out their car. I don’t remember now, but I think I paid about $20 for a very nice door.
Isn’t the part number stamped on the plastic back-part of the locking piece?

Thanks for the reply. I found one on ebay that was bid up to about $30. I thought I might have a chance but the owner pulled it and relisted it at $99.95 to start. I watched it for a few days and put in a bid thinking that I would be immediately out bid. Didn't happen so now I have a bid of $112. There are 4-5 days left so maybe one of the other 2 bidders will up my bid. If not, I have been sand bagged!
There is no part number that I can see on the back of the door or the latch. I checked with MB and a new one is $300

Wow...that seems a bit steep! Are you getting the entire center console or just the roll-door?

Why not just play the waiting game - one will pop up somewhere at the right price. Keep checking the forums for anyone parting out their car.
I asked someone at another forum that's parting out his car if he still had the door you need; I'm waiting for his response...

124 center console container

The part number for the top of the console storage box is 124 680 47 17, and there is a color code associated with that to match your interior. FWIW, the black base is 124 680 0852. There is no number on the wood roller cover, but there is for the handle with the lock cylinder.

If you don't care about the condition of the roller wood, these consoles should be available at any number of used parts people- try Potomac German Auto in Frederick MD.
