Can i put an interior from a w124 in a w123?

I want to swap a w123 inside out and put in the seats of a w124? can i do it, how hard would it be to do it and/or are there any examples out there of whatever modifications had to happen to make it work? i found a really good ond and i want to get into it.. i have the interior from both a sedan and from a coupe and i want to swap both of those..

Sure! Let us know how that turns out. Be sure to take lots of pictures, too.

I test fitted several pieces at PNP. Some things fit into a 123 and some don't. If you can't test fit, measure, measure, measure. In particular the position of the mounting bolts.

Pardon me. I was just being a smartass. I feel very strongly that we should each stick with what we do best and being a smartass is my special gift.

It is borderline impossible. Even if you could fabricate adapters to get the front seats insalled, the rears probably won't fit at all, and it wouldn't match the rest of the interior (door panels, etc). And, you'd have to figure out how to run the wiring harness for the front seats, and where to mount the switches (may not be room in the door panel).

My advice: Sell the W123, and buy a decent 124 to swap that rare Sportline interior into. BT, DT. No more 123's for me... I owned three of 'em and that was enough! Test drive a couple of 124's and you'll never want to drive a 123 again.
