Leather cream conditioner, Blue Magic
 

So I was looking for another leather conditioner, I have some Lexol at the house but it does not seem to work to good for me! So I was out so I said let me grab something else to try! Nothing seem to look any good, so I thought I'd go old school, I've seen my dad use Blue Magic stuff in the past so I said why not its cheep I'll grap some and try it! Surprisingly it worked great!!! I tried Lexol on the seats did not do much, then I tried saddle soap still not that great. But the cheap Blue Magic stuff seemed to work the best!!! It smells just like the lexol but seems to work better! Another thing I read was old school, Vasiline to soften leather. My dad uses it for everthing, I have never heard of using it on leather though. I will have to ask the old man if he's used it on leather before!!!

How do you know it "works better"?

All those leather "conditioners" are not that great (saddle soap especially bad for treated/coated leather such as car leather)... Lexol is all right as a maintainer (used once a month, lightly) in between "real" conditioning. For leather, Leatherique is the greatest leather product I've ever used. For Vinyl Aerospace 303 is great as well.

It seems to work better, by making the leather softer than the others did and stay softer, after I used the others like two days later it seem to got back to being stiff again. I also use the 303 stuff on vinyl and plastics, good stuff!!

I just got an 84 300 sd and need to dye the seats the same color Blue, also condition. Do I dye first and then condition and where do I get the Dye?

I see no one has responded to you since Nov so I'll give you my take on leather. I have used Leatherique products for many years now and swear by them. So much so that I now Distribute Leatherique down here in FL. You first rejuvenate then clean the seats prior to re-dying. There are several other steps for prepping the seats prior to applying dye but if you are a hands on person it is not a complicated process. Check out their web site or feel free to contact me. I have a passion for SLs and have done a lot of interiors on these fine cars.

Ditto on the Leatherique stuff. I have been quite happy with their redying kits. Their products all seem to work well for me and they are great as far as support and customer service goes.
