Thumbs up I want a deep shine like this !

Ok, pals, I know that this is a Mercedes forum, but, don't you love a shine like this in your car ?

Do somebody know how can you get this glossy mirror finish without breaking your elbows and arms ?

Ha! That [i]is[\i] quite a shine!

Looks to me like a metallic additive and a custom paint-job as that's not a stock color to my knowledge. Looks like the paint itself and not an exceptional wax/buffer combo

Plus a pro shot: setting sun, high contrast background, low angle, lots of play on the contrast, etc.

Wet sand the clear coat to eliminate the "orange peel" and most freshly painted cars (including new from factory) will have these reflective qualities.

That particular paint job (if the pic was not photoshopped in any way) is a Kandy Apple Red...show paint to be exact.

Application requires a base coat of silver or gold which serves as the "tint" color. Typical paint is opaque, so when applied, anything underneath the paint is hidden.

"Kandy" on the other hand is transparent (looks like Kool-Aid if you open up the can). So it is actually kind of a colored clear coat. Therefore, the surface and base coat must be perfectly prepared. The Kandy application takes an experienced painter, as the spray pattern must be even, or dark and light areas result.

I have seen excellent results in car shows I've attended, and the results are similar to the photo.

Absence of swirl marks makes the final touch...

My friend know's the owner of this car. The car is actually black, but it was photoshopped to this color. You can find it at www.dtmpower.net
